Hello, World!
Hey!
I'm Tristan, a 20-year-old student at the TUM School of Management.
A few key stepping stones on my journey so far have been:
- "early-studying" computer science at TUM through a special program when I was 15 and still in high school
- winning second prize at a regional Youth Researches competition by building a Covid19 air purification system using UVC LEDs
- getting into Check24's IT Scholarship and also interned there for 3 months as a data scientist after graduating high school
- winning second prize in the second round of Germany's National Computer Science Competition and participating in the qualification process to select Germany's delegation for the International Olympiad in Informatics 2025
- spending a semester at Cal State Northridge in LA, taking classes in business and philosophy
Today, my interest centers on how technological advances can be translated into valuable solutions for real-world problems.
That's why I joined the TUM Social AI Club, Germany's first AI-for-good initiative, where I am responsible for Community & Strategy.
We partner with NGOs to tackle their most pressing challenges with AI. Last semester, for example, we worked on automating Entreculturas' invoice compliance checks, freeing up staff to focus on their mission of providing education to disadvantaged children in Africa.
